Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club have partnered with TetaVi in order to bring volumetric AR/VR digital assets to be used by their fans worldwide. The players were filmed during a 1-day shoot which uses only 4 depth cameras and no green screen.
“The great thing about these high fidelity volumetric captures is that they will be used and reused for various AR applications such as games, fan engagement and in-arena excitement,” said Moshe Karako, VP Product and Business Development. “With these captures, we don’t need to go back and film the players again. Maccabi saves considerable money and precious players time.”
TetaVi turns real people into flawless digital humans. By using super accurate motion capture AI-based algorithms TetaVi create extremely realistic experiences in sports and other live action movements. Volumetric live action sports includes soccer, basketball, golf, wresting and more. Additionally, live concerts and hologram videos are also taking the entertainment industry to new and exciting places.
During the shoot, the basketball players were captured doing their signature moves while wishing their fans a happy birthday. The Maccabi holograms, powered by TetaVi, are a fun way to interact with fans who can experience their favorite players on any screen or device.
Basketball tricks, dribbles and spins were also captured and can be seen as we go Behind the Scenes
